Triaxial Accelerometer Adapter

The Triaxial Accelerometer Adapter is designed for mounting larger industrial and aircraft-style vibration sensors on the AT-2040. It provides a stable mounting interface for sensors with center bolt holes and can also be used with a magnetic base adapter, allowing the sensor to be rotated sideways on its axis for triaxial or directional testing.

This adapter is best suited for larger accelerometers, helicopter sensors, and sensors mounted with center bolts or magnetic bases. It is not recommended for small adhesive-mount sensors.

The Triaxial Accelerometer Adapter expands the AT-2040’s mounting capability for larger vibration sensors that are not easily mounted using standard adhesive pads or small sensor adapters. It is designed for larger accelerometers, helicopter-style vibration sensors, and industrial sensors that use a center bolt or magnetic mounting base.

This adapter provides a rigid mechanical interface for positioning the sensor during vibration testing. When used with a compatible magnetic adapter, the sensor can be mounted sideways and rotated on its axis, allowing the user to test different sensor orientations without needing a custom fixture for each position.

The Triaxial Accelerometer Adapter is especially useful when working with larger sensors where mass, size, or mounting geometry makes standard small-sensor mounting methods impractical. It gives users a more secure way to mount sensors with center bolt holes or magnetic bases while maintaining a practical setup for field or bench testing.

This adapter is not intended for small adhesive-based accelerometers. For small sensors, adhesive pads or lower-profile mounting adapters are typically a better choice. The Triaxial Accelerometer Adapter is intended for larger, mechanically mounted sensors that need a stable mounting surface and flexible orientation control.
