MEMS Differential Sensor Adapter

The MEMS-100 Differential Sensor Adapter allows the AT-2040 to power and measure compatible PR, VC, capacitive, and differential-output vibration sensors. It provides a programmable sensor supply and reads the sensor return through dedicated Sig+ and Sig– inputs, making it useful for sensitivity checks, wiring verification, and troubleshooting of differential vibration sensor systems.

The MEMS-100 may also be used for compatible Bently Nevada® 20015x Trendmaster® accelerometer signal-path testing where differential voltage output and external sensor power need to be verified.

The MEMS-100 Differential Sensor Adapter expands the AT-2040’s sensor testing capability by allowing compatible differential-output vibration sensors to be powered and measured through the AT-2040 interface.

The adapter is designed for PR, VC, capacitive, and differential sensor configurations where the sensor requires external power and returns its measurement signal through separate Sig+ and Sig– conductors. The MEMS-100 provides the sensor supply, reads the differential output, and allows the signal to be measured by the AT-2040 for sensitivity verification and troubleshooting.

Unlike standard single-ended IEPE sensor connections, differential sensors require the instrument to measure the voltage difference between two signal lines while rejecting common mode voltage. The MEMS-100 provides this interface, making it useful for bench testing, field verification, wiring checks, and signal-path troubleshooting.

The adapter can also be configured for compatible 3-wire capacitive sensors using the onboard DIP switch.
